In 2019 Paul McCartney embarked on the next leg of his Freshen Up tour that started at the Centre Videotron, Québec City in September 2018.
I'm not going to say this will be Paul McCartney's last tour because I've been proved wrong so many times it's untrue, the man defies logic.
Having said that I do think it will be his last tour on this scale, one part of me hopes it is.
Anyway, being of a certain age, I haven't seen Paul hundreds of times but I've managed to see him perform on each of his 'UK tours' and in Hamburg 1989, ten years after his last Wings tour of the UK in 1979.
I stress 'UK tours' because due to other circumstances, i.e. lack of tickets I've missed some important 'one off' gigs including 'Live Aid', 'The Prince's Trust Concert', 'A Concert for Linda' and his first return to the 'Cavern Club' in 1999 to promote Run Devil Run, although we saw the gig live at Chavasse Park in Liverpool.
On a positive note I've seen some pretty hot one-off Macca gigs including 'Concert for George', 'Live 8', 'Electric Proms', 'Liverpool Sound' at Anfield and the Philharmonic Pub & Cavern Club in 2018.
I've decided to share my experiences of seeing Paul McCartney live from 1973 -2018 on around a dozen tours and a few one off gigs in a new feature 'Paul is Live'.
Hope you enjoy the show...
